童話故事里走出來的～　愛笑狐狸一見鍾情「澳洲牧羊犬」：要永遠做好麻吉❤

在童話故事里，狐狸是一種狡猾的動物，跟人類飼養的獵犬勢不兩立。但美國一位網友養了一隻叫Moose的澳洲牧羊犬，還養了一隻叫Juniper的狐狸。Moose和Juniper感情很好，每天都待在一起，而且Juniper特別喜歡自己的狗狗朋友，只要看到牠就開心地露出笑容～

▼Juniper剛剛到家時只有5週大，對新環境很陌生，也不太敢跟人類親近，但牠會主動靠近Moose，Moose也釋放善意，跟這隻新來的小狐狸成為了朋友。

▼Juniper越長越大，跟Moose的感情也越來越深厚。狐狸視覺、聽覺都很發達，還有超強的記憶力。澳洲牧羊犬則聰明沈穩。這兩種動物智商都比較高，所以Moose和Juniper才能相處得那麼融洽。

Thank you all for your kind wishes yesterday! Poor Herbal had a rough day. I thought he was being extra cute when I took the video in the second slide. I just assumed he was stretching for the first few seconds and then I realized his movement was very abnormal. He continued to stretch in strange ways over and over again. It almost looked like he was writhing in pain. • I immediately booked it to our vet and by the time we arrived he was not wanting to get up at all. The vet had a wait of over an hour and while I waited I reached out to all of the knowledgeable chinchilla people I could think of to see if they had seen anything like this. I was worried it was a neurological issue, that he had some who hurt his spine. They all said it looked like it could be gas or constipation, which initially felt like a huge relief, but chinchilla’s can also die from gas and severe constipation. • Our vet did an X-Ray and sure enough, there were three huge pockets of gas in his stomach. On our way home we grabbed some infant gas relief as recommended. After taking the gas drops and getting his tummy messaged for 30 minutes he began to move around and started acting much more like himself! • This morning he’s back to normal, although very sleepy from yesterday’s events. He’ll have to take gas drops every 12 hours for the next few days, but should be just fine. I can’t tell you all how worried I was, but I’m so thankful that the biggest issue he has is being a gassy bean. 💨

When I first started this page five years ago I did a lot of educational posts about foxes. How they live in the wild, what they need when they can’t return to that wild life, how living with them affected my daily life. As years went on I slowly stopped doing as many educational posts, I felt like I had said so much so often that it was becoming repetitive, that people were judging me as if I was telling the world no one could live with foxes except for myself. • I want this page to become a place of learning again. Not just about the foxes, but about all of the animals I house here.
